Romane Duncan is a Senior Associate in the Cayman Islands Litigation & Restructuring practice.

Prior to joining Conyers, Romane worked in the litigation, insolvency and restructuring practice of a leading BVI firm. His practice mainly included advising high-net-worth individuals, multi-national corporations and nation states on the various interim remedies available to them to safeguard high value assets on an urgent basis. He has appeared in cross border disputes before all levels of court, including the Privy Council and has also appeared as counsel in commercial arbitration.

Romane has particular expertise in shareholders disputes, fraud and asset tracing and appellate practice and procedure. He is a member of Young ICCA, INSOL International and RISA.

Romane was a Judicial Research Intern at the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Head Quarters in Saint Lucia, assisting the judges of the Court of Appeal. Prior to that, he was a trade policy intern at the CARICOM Secretariat, Office of Trade Negotiations in Barbados where he advised CARICOM Member States on their obligations under a number of international trade agreements.
