Alex Davies is Counsel in the Corporate department of the Cayman office. Alex advises clients across a broad range of public and private corporate transactions including capital markets, private equity, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and offshore funds. Alex joined Conyers in June 2020.

Alex advises publicly listed corporations across various sectors, PE and VC firms and investors in connection with complex cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions. He has extensive experience with public takeovers, IPO’s, secondary raisings and corporate restructuring.

  • Advising a New York-based private equity firm on its take-private acquisition of a listed corporation valued at US$131.8 million
  • Advising a listed corporation on its issue of blended senior notes at a value of US$342 million
  • Advising a Frankfurt-based private equity firm on its acquisition of a limited partnership interest valued at €187 million
  • Advising a listed corporation on its takeover by a New York-based private equity firm valued at US$1.7 billion.
  • Advising a listed corporation on its takeover by a NYSE and TSX-listed corporation valued at US$204 million
  • Successful opposition to the sanction of a takeover by scheme of arrangement valued at US$306 million
