Daniel Cannon is an Associate in the Cayman Islands Corporate practice specialising in M&A.

Daniel specialises in mergers and acquisitions transactions, equity capital markets transactions and general corporate advice, with experience in corporate restructuring. Prior to joining Conyers, Daniel was based in Perth at a leading Australian law firm with a focus on M&A, particularly in the Australian and Asian markets.

Prior to joining Conyers:

  • Shandong Gold – on its A$600 million off-market takeover of ASX/TSX listed Cardinal Resources Limited
  • St Barbara Limited – on the A$625 million sale of its Leonora gold operations to Genesis Minerals Limited and its response to an unsolicited, competing purchase offer for the Leonora gold operations from Silver Lake Resources Limited
  • Hastings Technology Metals Limited – on its C$135 million acquisition of a ~20% interest in TSX listed Neo Performance Materials funded by the issuance of A$150 million in convertible debt to Wyloo Metals
  • Hastings Technology Metals Limited – on its A$110 million capital raising conducted by way of two tranche placement and share purchase plan
  • Evolution Energy Minerals Limited – on its demerger from Marvel Gold Limited and A$22 million initial public offering on the ASX
