Christopher Eakin is an Attorney in the Cayman Islands Corporate practice. Christopher specialises in immigration law and advises individual and corporate clients locally and internationally on all aspects of residence and employment in the Cayman Islands, with a particular emphasis on permanent residence, senior executive and high net worth investor residence facilities.
Christopher brings a unique blend of experience having worked internationally as a British diplomat, followed by over twenty years as a senior policy professional in the Cayman Islands Government. During this time, he played a leading role in the formulation and delivery of immigration and refugee policy, including legal and legislative aspects, for successive Governments. Recognised for his extensive subject matter knowledge and experience, he also served on a number of Cabinet-appointed committees providing technical advice on important areas of immigration policy such as permanent residence, term limits, and the use of immigration as a means to attract inward investment. He also represented the Cayman Islands Government for many years regionally and internationally in the field of refugee protection.
