William A. Finnerty is an Associate in the Private Client & Trust department of Conyers’ Bermuda office. William joined Conyers in September 2021.
Prior to joining Conyers, William completed his training contract with Kennedys Law LLP in London where he gained experience in a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious matters including international arbitration, commercial contracts and commercial litigation in the trust, company, life sciences, intellectual property, professional negligence and (re)insurance sectors. William has also completed a secondment to the legal division of Chubb’s European Group.
Having moved offshore to Conyers’ Bermuda office, William’s practice now involves the creation and restructuring of local and international trust structures and privately held businesses, advising settlors, trustees and beneficiaries on their duties and obligations, and advising on general matters of trust law. William also advises UHNW individuals and family offices on various immigration matters including applications for Bermuda and BOTC status.
William is admitted to practice in both England & Wales and Bermuda.
